VICE PRESIDENT - SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT 

Reporting to the COO, the person in this role will develop and manage MC Group's supply chain strategy to meet company performance objectives and customer expectations. Oversee Supply Chain Management operations to ensure that the department delivers on SCM requests completely, accurately, and timely for both internal and external customers.  Strategically minimize company costs by optimizing SCM processes and procedures.

 

Essential Functions

  • Oversee SCM operations inclusive of material and product sourcing, warranty administration, and inventory control.
  • Develop department KPI's and metrics ensuring personnel meet or exceed goals set forth by management.
  • Review performance reports on manufacturers and distributors and work with Director of Supply Chain to resolve inefficiencies.
  • Work with Director of Supply Chain to maintain long-term partnerships with existing and new material suppliers, vendors and distributors to ensure we maintain a competitive environment.
  • Periodically travel to material suppliers, distributors, and manufacturing facilities as required to build strategic partnerships.
  • Support, develop, and coach employees.  
  • Collaborate with other departments' management to ensure SCM processes, procedures, and performance aligns with company performance objectives.
  • Promote a professional, helpful image of the department within the company by monitoring interdepartmental communication, setting a positive department culture, keeping the lines of communication open with other departments, and actively seeking feedback and improvement opportunities.

Skills Required

  • Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and ability to quickly learn new programs
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specification drawings
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Mature, polished, and professional communication skills whether in person, on the phone, or via email
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills
  • Firm sense of customer service even when the 'customer' is a co-worker
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines

Education and Experience Required

  • Minimum of 5 years' recent experience in the illuminated signage or similar / related industry
  • Minimum of 5 years' recent experience working at the Executive level 
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

Other

  • Position will require working outside of regularly scheduled hours as business needs arise
  • Travel up to six weeks per year
